
As of March 15, 2010, all of the assets have been liquidated, and the Receiver team is collecting on the remaining receivables. The Receiver anticipates closing the case in 2010.
The EPI Companies was one of the largest commercial printers in the Southeast and at one time had over 300 employees. After losing its largest customer, Home Depot Expo, the company could no longer sustain operations.
On April 15, 2009, The EPI Companies began an orderly wind-down of their business shut down operations. All customers, vendors and creditors were notified by letters mailed on April 15th and only in-process orders were completed.
On April 30, 2009, SunTrust Bank (SunTrust) filed a complaint seeking the appointment of a receiver to wind down, liquidate, and sell the businesses owned and controlled The EPI Companies, LLC, Executive Printing, Inc. (EPI), the EPI Companies “Marietta (EPI Marietta) and the EPI Companies“ Real Estate, LLC (EPI Real Estate). By Order entered on May 1, 2009 in Cobb County, Hays Financial Consulting, LLC was appointed as the Receiver. On May 1, 2009, five creditors in the Dalton area filed an involuntary bankruptcy petition against one of the entities, the EPI-Companies-Marietta, LLC, Case number 09-71188.
On May 28, 2009, the involuntary bankruptcy petition was dismissed by the judge.
As of November 2010, the Receiver has been discharged of his duties and the Receivership Estate has been closed.
Mr. Hays served as the Receiver for this condominium conversion project in Orlando, Florida.
The firm served as Real Estate Manager and marketed 150 condominiums while renting unsold units as apartments to generate cash flow. The firm sold more than $20MM in condos. In addition, the firm’s professionals served as Directors of the Homeowners Association.

The Receivership was closed and the Receiver was discharged on April 1, 2010.
Atlantic Cable Services, Inc. (“ACS”) was a leading independent provider to the cable industry, specializing in sales, construction and installation. ACS provided a supply of a wide range of cable services including Fiber Optic Construction, Telephony, and Broadband Internet sales and installations through the southeastern United States.
On September 2, 2009 SunTrust Bank (“SunTrust”) filed a complaint seeking the appointment of a receiver to protect its interests in its collateral. By Order entered on September 16, 2009 in DeKalb County, Hays Financial Consulting, LLC was appointed as the Receiver. A copy of SunTrust’s complaint and the Order Appointing Receiver is included under the “Documents for Investors” tab.
The Court Approved the final report and discharged the Receiver on April 13, 2010. Pursuant to the Court Order, the Receiver made a distribution on administrative claims of the estate the week of April 19th.
The case has been officially closed and the Receiver has been discharged.
